A grieving therapist begins to tell his clients exactly what he thinks
Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge changes in people’s lives – including his own. The cast of “Shrinking” shares the best moments that defined their characters in Season 1 and reveals who did the best Harrison Ford impression. When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence were asked how they got Harrison Ford to join the series, Segel said that Goldstein originally wanted a “Harrison Ford type” and was going to audition with people like Ford. Segel told Goldstein that they had to at least bring it up to Ford first, thinking he would immediately turn it down, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford was being brought in for the project, which sparked interest from other notable actors.

Eventually, Goldstein spoke with Ford and sold him on the role. Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince her, but he was thrilled nonetheless. Featured on WatchMojo: The 10 Best TV Shows of 2023 (So Far) (2023). And the rest of the performance is great too.
And Jessica is perfect
He has the weird, idiotic, confident energy that’s needed for this role. His humor is just right for the dialogue. This is a new way to frame the situation. No real punchlines, just engaging personalities with a touch of weirdness, and family circumstances that are just a little above the norm, but still relatable.
You lose your license immediately
Of course, Jimmy’s behavior as a therapist is completely absurd. Just impossible. But we allow metaphorical situations in drama. And in this script, we feel a strong sense of purpose in the decisions.
Other reviewers apparently struggled
We have to give the writers the upper hand and try to get the point across. To me, it’s easy and fun.
