Tale
A modern-day tale of fortune-telling in the world of West Texas oil rigs. See writer/director Taylor Sheridan’s most popular movies and TV shows on IMDb, ranked by user ratings. Billy Bob Thornton and Demi Moore filmed some of their scenes in Weatherford, Texas in May 2024.
THIS is what TV should be!!
I’ve been spoiled by streaming and after the first two episodes came out and now I have to wait a week, I’m screaming! Great cast – I wasn’t taken out of the story by extreme/fake actors. I’m already caring about the character development – the character development and writing is spot on.
Only criticism is that the portrayal of the daughter is cringeworthy
There was some dramatic action in the first episode – so that will keep us on our toes. And it allows you to peek behind the curtain of the American oil industry – learning something I didn’t know is a plus! She’s supposed to be 17, but she looked so old that I googled her and she’s TWENTY-SEVEN!!
There are 10,000 gorgeous, talented teen actresses to choose from
And what daughter would walk around in her panties with her ass hanging out the front if her dad AND his roommate were friends like she didn’t know how gross that was and her dad never said anything? Twice-a-day panty scenes, running around naked in the shower scene, AND an extended (non-existent) bikini scene of a spoiled brat are unnecessary and detract from the quality of the show and turn off many viewers. Male writers and producers don’t have to pander to the lowest denominator in their genre if the plot and direction are right!
Otherwise, I’m loving it so far!
